Backlink your Blog Or Website

Backlinks. Backlinks are the building blocks to good search engine optimization. They are links that direct back to your website or blog, also known as IBL's or Inbound links.

The number of backlinks indicates how important or popular a website or blog is. Some search engines, like Google will give more credit to websites with a good number of backlinks. Therefore; it is important, to include them in your site.

When search engines calculate the relevance of a site in relation to its keyword, they consider the number of inbound links to that site. Quality matters.

To determine quality, search engines determine the content of the site to determine the quality of a link. When inbound links to your site come from other sites, the search engines look at the content of those sites, and if they have related content, they those links are determined to be more relevant.

An example would be if a site about antiques, received a backlink from another site about kittens, it would be consider more relevant, then a site from another site about art.

Therefore; the more your backlinks from other sites relate, the better the quality of the backlink will be.

Search engines look for links built up on a site over time. Is easy to manipulate links on a site to achieve a higher ranging, but it is allot more difficult to influence a search engine with backlinks from a another site. In the past allot of webmasters tried achieving inbound links, via hidden links, or back pages, to provide inbound links to other sites (called link farms).

Stay away from link farms. Search engines may ban your site, if you link to a link farm. These sites are disregarded now by search engines due to the abuse.

Backlinks are an effective way of generating traffic, and getting your site known. Think of backlinks as a trail of bread crumbs. People visit a site, and end up at yours.

Another type of linking that is effective at generating traffic is called reciprocal, linking. According to a Google update, it was the target of the search engine filter.

Reciprocal linking is when you exchange your link with another website. The search engine filter will be checking to see if your link is relevant. Any links that are not relevant, will be disregarded.

When providing reciprocal links, or linking to another site, make sure that the site content is relevant to your content. Your link can be discounted just for linking to a bad site.

To build your back links, there are several tools that you can use. For example, Backlink Builder Tool . Another tool is called, Backlink Anchor Text Analysis Tool .

When promoting your blog or website, backlinks cannot be overlooked. They are an excellent tool to get your website or blog known.

Do people really click Adsense ads?

Do people click Adsense Ads? "Yes they do. I have clinked on them from time to time when looking for something. I've also made money from the clicks." Says Flyingpig7, a Warrior Forum subscriber.

Many people actually make a living promoting ads for Ad-sense. "Fortunately people do click those ads - I make full time living from them :-) ", says DarrenHaynes, another subscriber from Warrior Forum.

To make money with Ad-sense, you need to learn how to promote your blog or website, and how to use seo techniques to improve your rank on the search engines. You also need to learn what people are looking for.

You can keep track of your progress using the Google, Performance Reports, tool. It will tell you everything from your estimated earnings, to your page-views, and number of clicks per ad.

Marketing your blog is challenging. You need to discover what works, and what other people do to generate traffic. Marketing works, and allot of it can be done without spending a dime.

Everyday, checkout forums, blogs, and social networks. Don't give up. Keep on trying. Eventually, you will start to see progress. It may seem like your chasing the rainbow, and it may take years before you reap the rewards of your effort, but it will all be worth it.

I am making an effort to learn all I can about blogging, and will be posting regular blogs with helpful information you can use.

On April 21st, I posted a blog on, How to Make a Blog. I used a pinging service called, Feed Shark to promote it.

To my surprise, I received 9 visits in a bit over 24 hours, by using the pinging service, and by posting to Facebook and Twitter.

Its important to have a strategy for posting your blogs. Overtime it will change, as you learn new marketing techniques. My current strategy is as follows;

Look for ways to improve your marketing technique, to drive traffic to you blogs. Follow the same standard from one blog to another and try to put out one blog a day. If you don't have time to finish a blog, then leave it for the next day but make sure it gets posted.
